Book Update
Anamarie has been pouring over the 40+ hours of interview transcripts, has organized the 287 of the best stories and quotes, and has outlined the entire book to help her work in the best quotes. She has gone through the chapters very closely in order to make sure we have the best of the best quotes in the right spots in the book. We have to say, the book is getting better and better all the time, and we can’t wait to share it with you! We did realize that one chapter needs to be completely re-worked because the content was disorganized. We’re working really hard to make sure our February update will include, “The book is off to the editor!” but for now, we have to say that it is very close.
Our Blog
While Anamarie has been diligently going through our book, Cory has been working to get our Blog up and running. Our blog, Parenting OutLoud Today, is all about talking to and communicating with our children in a new way. As our book discusses, we need to talk to our children differently and bring them up in an environment that helps them develop the knowledge and skills necessary to do, have, and be everything that they truly desire. Much of this comes from the things we say and the way we say them. This all stems from Anamarie’s goal to have parents stop saying, “We can’t afford that,” and replace it with, “I choose not to spend our money that way.” Although this may not sound like much of a difference, it has a huge impact on our beliefs about money. But, you’ll have to wait for a future blog post for more details on that. So, our blog will be made up of posts about our dialogues and funny things that we experience with our children, other things we think parents will find useful, and anything else we feel like throwing in there.
