If we all did the things we are capable of, we would astound ourselves.

“Mom, I don’t understand. How do I just think something and make it happen in my head?” Meggie said. She was holding the invitation to be a bridesmaid for her best friend.
Cindy nodded toward the invitation, “Meggie, are you going to be at that wedding?
“Yes,” she said emphatically. “Do you have the money to fly to New York?” “Not yet,” she said.
“Do you know how you are going to get that money?” Cindy said.
“Well, no not yet.” “So how do you know you are going to New York?” “I just am. I know I am going the be in that wedding!”
“Well, okay. There is your example. You know that some how; you’re not sure specifically how, but you know that you are going to be a bridesmaid in that wedding and you’re going to be able to pay for your ticket, your dress and your hotel, right?”
“Well of course!” she said.
“And all you did is think it. This is how it is for everything. You just have to decide.”
Focus—Where Are You Digging?
It’s time to take a stand. Are you going to continue just living on autopilot with the programming your parents and community gave you or are you going to stake out a new path? Author Wilma Mankiller, stated that in Iroquois society, leaders are encouraged to remember seven generations in the past and consider seven generations in the future when making decisions that affect the people. Sometimes when we are just living day to day, it’s easy to forget that many of the decisions we are making and lessons we are teaching our children will affect our family members that haven’t yet been born.
When Cory and I focused on our limiting beliefs, we got a limited life. The biggest limiting belief for us was, “We can’t afford it.” The more we made this statement out loud, the more it seemed that we really didn’t have enough money. We challenged that belief when we decided to invest in ourselves by studying with Bob Proctor. We knew his program would teach us what we needed to make a massive change in our lives, yet weren’t sure how we were going to pay for it. We decided to let go of our destructive thoughts and chose to believe that the money had to manifest somehow. We just stayed focused on “how can we do it?” Within 24 hours we were able to find funds in savings, stocks, unspent birthday and Christmas gift monies. We could afford it. We made a decision based on what we wanted rather than letting the price tag determine our decision.
Have you ever “found” the money to pay for something that was really important when at first you didn’t think there was any way you could afford something? Tell us about it!
